General information only
The content on this website, including articles, videos, FAQs, social media posts and treatment pages, is general information about hair loss and hair restoration. It doesn’t replace a consultation with a qualified clinician, and it isn’t medical advice about your own situation.
Hair loss has many possible causes, and some are linked to other health conditions. Please don’t use this website to diagnose yourself, or to start, stop or change any medication or treatment. Speak to your GP or a qualified clinician first.
Your consultation comes first
We only recommend treatment after a doctor has assessed you in person. That assessment looks at the cause and stability of your hair loss, your donor area, your scalp health, your medical history and your goals. Reading this website or contacting us doesn’t create a doctor-patient relationship. That starts at your consultation.
If a doctor decides that a treatment isn’t suitable for you, we’ll explain why and talk you through other options.
Results vary from person to person
Every patient is different. Your results depend on factors such as your hair type, donor hair, the extent and pattern of your hair loss, your general health and how closely you follow your aftercare plan.
Before and after photos, videos and testimonials on this website and our social channels show real Royal Wharf Clinic patients who consented to share them. They show those patients’ individual results, and they aren’t a promise that you’ll get the same outcome.
Timelines we mention, for example when new growth usually appears, are typical ranges. Your doctor will give you an expected timeline for your own treatment.
Risks of treatment
All medical and surgical procedures, including FUE hair transplants, PRP, exosome therapy and prescribed hair loss medication, carry possible risks and side effects. These can include swelling, discomfort, infection, scarring, shock loss, numbness and results that differ from what you expected. Your doctor will explain the risks that apply to you, in writing, before you agree to any treatment, and you’ll always have a cooling-off period of at least 14 days between your consultation and your surgery.
Prescription medicines
Any prescription-only medicine, such as finasteride or minoxidil tablets, is only prescribed after a clinical assessment by an appropriately qualified prescriber. Mentions of medicines on this website are for general information and aren’t a recommendation to take them.

This website and our contact channels, including WhatsApp, email and social media messages, aren’t monitored around the clock and aren’t for emergencies.
