Before Royal Wharf Clinic existed, our Founder and Managing Director, Suheb Mahmood, was a patient himself. Like so many men living with hair loss, he had spent years weighing up a hair transplant. When he finally decided to go ahead, he chose a lower-cost clinic, trusting that the outcome would be worth it.

It was not the experience he had hoped for. He felt like one of many rather than an individual. He was given little clarity over who was performing his procedure, and once he left the clinic, the support he needed was not there. A treatment meant to restore his confidence left him questioning it instead, and the experience stayed with him long after the procedure itself.

What affected Suheb most was knowing he was not alone. Countless people place their trust, their hopes and their self-image in the hands of a clinic, without always knowing who they are trusting.

He resolved that others deserved better.
